My cousin sent me a beliefs quiz. and i decided to post my results here. it’s interesting how many of these beliefs overlap. makes me wonder… but I’m dancing with a few ideas..

I posted my results below, but I wanted to tell you all the story to how I got here.

I grew up in a 3rd generation SDA household. Any family member that I have who aren’t Adventist are those who decided that it just wasn’t for them. It’s never been an option. I never questioned it. I didn’t see the point of even being any other religion because I believed the heaven bound were SDAs and no one else.

Then I became curious about Islam and Judaism and varying Christian denominations. I read different holy books ( some in part… i can honestly say I never finished the book of Mormon.) I’ve watched documentaries about beliefs of some Ameri-indian tribes and read books an articles about the origins of many world religions. I saw how closely a lot of the belief patterns were and I started thinking… What if it’s about your faith? What if it’s just being a good person and having faith? It seems hard to believe that all those people who followed other religions on the past prior to the existence of Judaism and Christianity and even Islam. I can’t see all those people going to hell. It seems unfair. Which goes against everything that we say God is ( just, kind, loving etc)

So, I’ve been exploring. ( mostly Judaism) and I’ve been reading. and maybe God will direct me towards the path he wants me to take. At this point I don’t believe that I should hold a set of beliefs simply because my parents did.
