As my second week of ovation is coming to a close I’m pleased to say that my hair is 4-inches on average. that is half an inch of growth with-in 9 days of use. My edges are growing in 🙂 and my hair is thicker at the roots ( i’m definitely gonna have to do some cutting to rid myself of damaged hair.)
I did a lot of reading in the past week about your hair growth cycle and how while some hairs are growing others aren’t so you shouldn’t fret if some parts are taking longer to grow than others. Knowing this also gives me a reality check. half and inch in 14days is ALOT and that i should expect this to be the case every 14 days.
I also read about protein overload. so i’m being extra careful not to damage my hair with too many protein enriched products. So check the labels of the products you are using before you start using Ovation. Protein is good for you hair but too much of it can lead to terrible results. I’m trying this Henna placenta deep conditioning treatment tomorrow night ( review in next weeks blog)
BUT I am currently looking for natural, heat free natural styles so i can be okay with not braiding my hair for this 7 weeks stretch.
anyhow.. week one pics are below.
and keep on coming back for more updates.
