In american society we are so in love with Political correctness. We chastize people for saying what we are all thinking and we shame other countries for doing exactly what we are doing. Yet when sitting behind our computers, and enjoying the anonymity granted by the internet people show their true colors.
I’m sure you’ve gone to CNN.com or someother news source or blog and found that there are so many hateful comments left by hateful angry people. I often try my hardest to avoid the comments section because it breaks my heart that in 2012 we have not come to a place where we are accepting of each other.
But beyond. People are cowards. We all find the courage to say everything when no one knows who we are. We do have freedom of speech but we should understand that that freedom comes with a price. Words do have power.
My little bit of advice, if you wouldn’t say it to the persons face, or if u wouldn’t want the people you work with or live with to know those things, just don’t say it. The Internet is public domain and believe it or not, comments do come back to haunt you.
Anyway.. Happy B-day to my Grandma. Hope God blesses u with health and happiness.
